The "Children's Views on the Rocket Kid" from the perspective of children from ages 8 to 14 from 1959 to 1969 during the Space Craze in America viewed exploring space by a child. The view are collected from items that served as self expressions of their views, which includes pictures of children at play, children's letters to John Glenn, and toys that allowed children to live out there dreams of exploring space. All of the items in the collection's depict children's desires to explore space as a child either through play or written expression. All of the items reveal either an explicit desire to engage in space exploration during childhood.
